Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Eye, Suffolk.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 37.5hrs
Job Responsibilities:Preparation/ archiving of samples in accordance with study paperwork and SOP?s (Standard Operating Procedures)
Stock control, reagent preparation and ordering of consumables
Cleaning and storage of equipment
May assist in routine laboratory procedures, including small animal post mortems, fetal sectioning and sperm analysis
Working within the confines of a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) environment
GCSEs of grades C/4 or above in Maths, English and Science
All tasks will be performed with minimal supervision on satisfactory completion of training
We welcome applications from school leavers or candidates that have a real interest in Science but require training
All training will be provided, and this is a great first step for anyone looking to get into the industry. You will be joining a team who are supportive, collaborative and really work together to ensure the companies goals are met
Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately read, record, and communicate information
Some lifting is required and please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract
Due to the remote location of this site, there are no public transport links available
Some weekend work may be required
We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant who will do the preparation of samples in our Necropsy team for tasks performed in the laboratory .
