Location: Foston Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

Join Our Team as an HR Advisor
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our HR team based in Foston. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality HR support that drives employee engagement and business performance.
As HR Advisor, you will provide expert advice and support to managers and employees across a broad range of HR activities, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, policy implementation, and employee engagement initiatives. You will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
What You'll Be Doing
Employee Relations
Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
Support and manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, and performance matters.
Conduct investigations, produce reports, and make appropriate recommendations.
Coach managers to effectively manage people-related issues in a fair and consistent manner.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Performance Management & Development
Support performance review processes, probation reviews, and development planning activities.
Advise managers on managing performance concerns and improvement plans.
Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating learning and development initiatives.
HR Compliance & Administration
Ensure HR policies and procedures remain up to date and compliant with employment legislation.
Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in line with GDPR requirements.
Prepare HR correspondence, reports, meeting notes, and management information.
Support HR audits and compliance activities.
Compensation, Benefits & HR Projects
Assist with employee benefits administration and employee queries.
Work with payroll and external providers to ensure accurate processing of employee changes.
Participate in HR projects and initiatives focused on engagement, wellbeing, retention, and continuous improvement.
Keep up to date with employment law and HR best practice.
Employee Engagement
Support initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Help organise employee events, recognition schemes, wellbeing activities, and communication campaigns.
Conduct exit interviews and analyse feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
What We're Looking ForEssential Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR Generalist, HR Advisor, or similar HR role.
Experience managing or supporting employee relations cases.
Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and HR administration processes.
Experience using HR systems, ideally UKG or similar HR software.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Qualifications
GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD is desirable.
