What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to carry out general building maintenance, including carpentry and joinery, bricklaying, concreting, plastering, roof repairs and general construction work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out general repairs to the premises.
- Manage stock control, account for goods and materials held in stock for future use, and keep the Maintenance Team Leader informed of any materials requiring ordering.
- Manufacture and install carpentry and joinery items.
- Undertake bricklaying, concreting, plastering and roof repairs and other similar maintenance work.
- Perform raceday duties as required.
- Carry out other duties that the Company reasonably requires.
Key Responsibilities
- Ideally hold a City & Guilds qualification in carpentry, or a similar trade qualification.
- Ideally hold a City & Guilds qualification in bricklaying, or a similar trade qualification.
- Have significant knowledge and experience of building maintenance and construction.
- Be able to work at times with little or no supervision and have the ability to work under pressure.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Show a proactive and flexible attitude and be a strong team player.
- Be able to lift heavy items, using equipment provided where needed.
- Hold a current, valid Driving Licence.
