What we are looking for
We are currently seeking a Marketing & Commercial Data & Insights Analyst to join our forward‑thinking, vibrant team, based in our offices at the racecourse in Ascot, Berkshire. As Marketing & Commercial Data & Insights Analyst, you will play a key role in Ascot’s Digital Transformation Strategy, contributing to Ascot’s vision to be the leading brand in global horse racing, with an impact beyond the track. This is a fantastic opportunity for a curious, commercially minded, collaborative individual to join a passionate team at an exciting time of growth.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide insights and analysis to improve Ascot’s data‑driven marketing strategies with an aim to increase raceday attendance, hospitality sales, event awareness and digital audience growth.
- Work closely with the Marketing Campaigns Team to build audience segments for direct marketing using the Customer Data Platform (CDP) and uncover new opportunities for targeted campaigns for key customer segments.
- Support the marketing team by delivering audience insights to guide creative messaging and timing.
- Analyse ticketing, hospitality, membership, retail and sponsorship data to identify sales trends and performance gaps.
- Execute fan and customer research projects to inform marketing, experience design, and membership strategy.
- Build and maintain clear dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio) tracking sales, marketing performance, and attendance.
- Present insights to marketing, commercial, and executive teams in a clear and actionable way.
- Assist the Digital Transformation working group with data‑related projects and initiatives.
- Support pricing and yield management strategies across raceday tickets, hospitality packages, and membership tiers.
- Champion data integrity and compliance (GDPR) across the commercial team.
- Act as the guardian of commercial databases, in particular the Ascot data warehouse and associated process flows.
Skills and experience you can bring
- Proven experience in marketing analytics, commercial insights, or data strategy within sports, leisure, or hospitality.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel, Power BI, or similar BI tools, and Google Analytics.

- Understanding of CRM and customer segmentation for targeted marketing campaigns.
- Confident communicator able to present complex data in a compelling and accessible way.
- Commercially astute with an understanding of revenue levers across ticketing, hospitality, and sponsorship.
- An analytical mindset and high level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
