Following the launch of the Ascot Lloyd Adviser Academy in April 2023, we are delighted to announce the Ascot Lloyd Adviser Academy will now be onboarding 2 separate cohorts of Associate Advisers each year (March and September). We are now recruiting for a dedicated full-time Academy Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity where you will work with the Associate Advisers, supporting their training and development as they go through their Academy pathway, as well as assisting ‘early careers’ Advisers with their development needs and objectives.
Location: Office based – hybrid, ideally Birmingham or Reading, other Ascot Lloyd office locations will be considered.
Hours of work: 35 hours each week, with flexibility to meet deadlines as required. As a modern employer who supports flexible working models and patterns, we will consider job share / other options for the right candidate(s).
Purpose of the role:
- Scheduling individual training sessions for the Academy training pathways, including sending out the invites to the guest speakers and Associate Advisers, ensuring in advance that the speaker presentations are up to date, stored centrally, branded appropriately and run on time.
- Providing pro-active support and being the central point of contact for the Associate Advisers both pre-joining and post appointment, in an efficient and professional manner.
- Feeding back to the relevant stakeholders (Head of Adviser Academy and Academy Training Lead) on any gaps in the Academy offering and ideas for improvement, to ensure delivery of a market leading Academy development pathway.
- Providing valuable insights based on Adviser feedback to help develop and continually improve the Ascot Lloyd Academy Development pathway.
- Be an ambassador for Ascot Lloyd through active promotion of the values and proposition.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise and assist the Academy Training Lead, to ensure the Associate Advisers/New Advisers deliver their key milestone KPIs.
- Provide logistics support for travel, accommodation and refreshments bookings for the Academy Associates and Management team in accordance with the pathway scheduling.
- Working closely with HR and the Head of Adviser Academy to ensure that Associate Advisers/New Advisers are onboarded safely, to avoid unnecessary attrition.
- Ensure Associate Advisers have scheduled their exams at the appropriate time, attend the respective training sessions and feedback their results in a timely manner.
- Provide meaningful regular MI and feedback to show first time pass rates on exams, client observation assessments and launch plan effectiveness.
- Maintain end-to-end process guides on pre and post appointment, up to CAS.
- Provide key stakeholders with regular updates from the Associate Advisers on their Adviser Pathway workbooks.
- Organise additional support days with Paraplanning and Admin, including a consistent agenda for the Associate Advisers in accordance with the schedule.
- To operate and manage an effective diary to ensure that all activities are planned for and carried out in a timely manner.
- Actively support in the development of the new Advisers skills and knowledge during the Academy pathway and in their early career at Ascot Lloyd.
- Working in conjunction with the Academy leadership team, support the design and delivery of the Academy pathway and the future training needs once the Advisers graduate from the pathway.
- Regular reporting on the effectiveness of the Academy course content and provide prompt feedback to the Academy Leadership team on any absenteeism or welfare issues.
- Regular review of the Academy training pathway and collateral to refine and/or change as appropriate.
- As appropriate, host guest speakers and support/attend other training sessions including ‘Insights’ events and other recruitment initiatives.
- Work within set budgetary requirements, reporting on expenditure as required.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties (i.e. cover for absence) as requested by management.
