Job Purpose
Consortia Underwriting Operations Analyst’s primary responsibility is to deliver centralized operational support to underwriting teams by ensuring administrative tasks are completed efficiently, accurately and within defined timelines throughout the policy lifecycle.
Detailed Duties
- Risk and Exposure Data Capture
- Assist underwriting teams by uploading schedule of values or reviewing schedule of values already uploaded by underwriting teams.
- Ensure data is mapped and cleansed correctly in the SEND system.
- Liaise with underwriters regarding any validation issues and warnings.
- Risk data entry for all policies bound by underwriters in the SEND system. Data to be entered within the agreed SLAs.
- Risk data entry for all approved endorsements by underwriters in the SEND system. Data to be entered within the agreed SLAs.
- Quality control the team’s risk data entry to ensure data entered in the SEND system is accurate.
- Ahead of full integration between SEND and Subscribe, process Electronic Front Sheet requests in Swordfish for bound policies and endorsements.
- Assist in reconciling the SEND and Subscribe policy admin systems.
- Annually create the consortia.
- Data Ingestion
- Daily upload of premium and claims transaction reports into SEND.
- Ensure data is mapped correctly and resolve any mapping issues before committing the transactions into SEND.
- Premium Allocations
- Allocate premium receipts uploaded into SEND via the premium transaction report.
- If utilizing SEND’s auto allocation process, review premium transaction unallocated by SEND and try to reconcile.
- For unallocated cash, liaise with underwriting teams and/or brokers to identify premium received and allocate accordingly.
- Bordereaux Production
- At the end of the month/quarter ensure consortia bordereaux are produced and circulated to underwriting teams in a timely manner, resolve any queries raised by underwriters and circulate bordereaux to brokers within the terms of the consortia agreement.
- Other Responsibilities
- Assisting with operations projects including implementing new functionality within SEND and other ad‑hoc work.
- Assisting the Director of Underwriting performance and Operations with any reporting and/or other responsibilities as required.
Experience
Previous experience of risk data entry in an insurance company is preferable.

- Identifying and resolving data discrepancies before entry into system(s).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
