Your Mission at Ascom
Financial Accounting & Control
- Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and Ascom’s internal controls
- Lead internal reviews and support external audits
- Manage cash flow and working capital with a focus on optimisation
- Oversee tax compliance in the UK and Ireland
Forecasting & Strategic Planning
- Lead forecasting and budgeting cycles across business units and projects
- Build financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions
- Provide actionable insights to drive performance
Leadership & Collaboration
- Coach and develop a high-performing finance team
- Collaborate with internal departments, auditors, and regulatory bodies
- Champion continuous improvement and financial transparency
Project Accounting
- Track project budgets, costs, and profitability
- Partner with Project Managers to align financials with delivery milestones
- Provide insight across the full project lifecycle
UK & Ireland Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, import duty declarations, Intrastat, and EC Sales Lists
What You Bring To Ascom
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU VAT regulations, including RCT (Ireland)
- Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- A detail-oriented, proactive mindset with a passion for project accounting
