Ascom UK is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal team on a full time basis. We are a hybrid company which means three days in office.
What we expect you to do for us:
- Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to business units and functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while supporting the organization’s goals and mitigating legal risks.
- Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of contracts.
- Establish and improve templates, standards and processes.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations.
- Maintain, improve and protect intellectual property rights.
- Handle litigation cases.
- Select, instruct and supervise external counsels.
- Conduct internal training and workshops on legal topics.
Skills & Experience:
- Ability to effectively use applications like Word, Excel, OneDrive and SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding relevant laws, regulations, and legal principles.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal risks to protect the organization.
- Ability to develop and implement legal strategies that align with the organisation's goals.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey legal advice.
Professional Experience and Education:
- University degree (Master of Law or equal).
- 6-10 years experience, preferably in an international company in the ICT sector or in an international commercial law firm.
