Contract: Temporary (Duration TBC)

We are currently recruiting for a Site Technician based in Dyce. This is a temporary opportunity with duration to be confirmed. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, repairs, cleaning and general site upkeep activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities, updating records as required.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to plan and schedule maintenance works.
  • Perform repairs, maintenance and cleaning duties across buildings, facilities and grounds.
  • Undertake a variety of maintenance tasks requiring practical skills in areas such as plumbing, joinery, decorating and general building maintenance.
  • Modify, assemble and move furniture, fittings, equipment and stores as required.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure all work areas remain clean and safe.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and safety checks, including weekly fire alarm testing.
  • Safely operate and maintain a range of hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Coordinate deliveries and materials, ensuring documentation is accurate and discrepancies are reported.
  • Support contractors and other personnel working on site to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.
  • Participate in out-of-hours call-out duties if required.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support site operations.

Essential Requirements

  • National 5 level education (or equivalent).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Manual Handling certification.
  • Working at Height training.
  • COSHH Awareness.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • Abrasive Wheels Training.
  • HAVS Awareness.
  • Legionella Awareness Training.
  • Previous experience within a maintenance, facilities or multi-skilled environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • IOSH or other relevant HSE qualification.
  • Time-served trade background.
  • Forklift, MEWP (Access Platform) or Telehandler certification.
  • Experience working within industrial, logistics or operational environments.
