Location: Blackburn (Site-Based - Hybrid Available Post-Probation)

Work Type: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 9-Day Fortnight Available (Staff). Potential Future Offshore Mobilisations.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support ongoing engineering activities within their P&A Applications group. This role will focus on electrical design and interfacing activities associated with a compact workover rig programme supporting well Plug & Abandonment operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical system design for drilling and well intervention equipment
  • Development of electrical architecture including power generation systems
  • Equipment interfacing and system integration activities
  • Supporting design reviews and technical documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with offshore standards and UKCS regulatory requirements
  • Providing engineering support to the compact workover rig programme
Requirements
  • Strong background in electrical system design within drilling, workover, or well intervention environments
  • Experience in equipment interfacing and integrated system development
  • Knowledge of offshore electrical standards and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team
  • Willingness to support potential future offshore mobilisation
Qualifications
  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) preferred or working towards
  • Relevant offshore certification advantageous (if mobilisation required)
Minimum Competencies
  • Electrical design and schematic development
  • Power distribution and generation system knowledge
  • System integration and interface management
  • Technical problem solving and analytical capability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable Competencies
  • Experience with workover rigs or offshore drilling assets
  • Familiarity with UKCS regulatory framework
  • Experience supporting P&A operations
  • Previous offshore project exposure
