Reporting to the NUK Waste Transfer Station Team Leader, the purpose of this role is to process wastewater through the effluent treatment plant in the most efficient manner possible. Perform a range of activities including testing, routine checks, maintenance, and problem solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost, and quality standards. Ensure all statutory quality and safety policies and regulations are satisfied, and that all company policies are implemented and maintained to the required standard.
Key responsibilities are:
- Safely and effectively monitor the operation of the process and conditions of the plant, making adjustments of controls.
- Carry out a range of routine activities to time and quality standards to ensure the smooth running of the overall process on a day-to-day basis.
- Carry out first line maintenance lifting and unblocking pumps, equipment checks, greasing.
- Ensure and maintain a superior level of aesthetics and housekeeping in and around the plant, equipment, and buildings.
- Draw samples and test as required ensuring the optimal running of all plant and equipment.
- Record and document all process information and analysis results.
- Ensure equipment and resources are used, maintained, and replaced appropriately to meet business standards.
- Adhere to Health and Safety procedures in order to ensure the safety of self and others and minimise risk.
- Carry out duties in accordance with Health and Safety and Company Operating Procedures.
- Maintain a very high standard of work, take pride and ownership of the plant, and look after the assets.
- Provide an appropriate response to emergency situations whilst on shift.

- Driving License.
- Working at Height Certification.
