Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 0800 – 1630 (30 min lunch break)
We are seeking an experienced CCU/Lifting Operative to oversee the rental CCU fleet at our client’s warehouse, ensuring optimal availability, compliance, and safe operations. The successful candidate will manage inspections, certifications, and coordination of CCU movements while maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards. This role involves close collaboration with the lifting team, and the use of ERP systems (SAP) for tracking and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the rental CCU fleet, ensuring optimal availability for operations.
- Oversee inspection and certification of all CCUs and lifting equipment, maintaining full compliance.
- Act as the primary contact for CCU requests across sites, coordinating with quayside personnel as needed.
- Track CCU movements in the ERP system (SAP), including on-hire/off-hire and inventory updates (demand).
- Collaborate with the lifting team to ensure all lifting accessories are inspected as required, using a colour-coded system for tracking.
- Maintain certificate register for other lifting equipment.
- Supervise the CCU/NDT Inspector, ensuring operational coverage.
- Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards on-site.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Provide cover as part of the site lifting team as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in CCU management.
- Strong knowledge of CCU/lifting equipment regulations and industry standards (BS EN 12079 & DNV-GL 2.7-1).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP) for asset management.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Proven experience in lifting operations – Ability to lead and supervise a lifting team.
- Certification in lifting operations/rigging inspection.
