Assistant Material Controller (Job ID: 1904)

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 0800-1700 – 40 hours per week
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role supports the Material Controller with overseeing all aspects of material management including receipts, storage, maintenance and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client contacts to assist with the efficient operation of the PO receipts, storage, maintenance and preparation for shipment functions in line with agreed procedures.
- Act as a client contact point for users both onshore and offshore, responding quickly and accurately to issues/queries raised.
- Manage inventory focusing on processing work orders, stock movements, returns, items for repair and scrap disposals.
- Coordinate work orders for shipping with the sailing schedule, ensuring timely processing.
- Arrange transportation, inspection, repair or relocation of inventory where required.
- Deliver stock accuracy by operation of the SAP system.
- Count stock of inventory held, investigating discrepancies highlighted by the process.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency assessments undertaken.
