About the Role: We are currently seeking Ad-Hoc Class 1 LGV Drivers to support ASCO's nightshift logistics operations in the energy, oil, and gas sector, based in Aberdeen. This flexible role is ideal for experienced drivers looking to work on an as-needed basis to help facilitate the safe and efficient movement of goods across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicles safely and in compliance with road transport regulations
  • Ensure the secure handling, loading, and transportation of goods
  • Complete all deliveries and collections using the company’s Transport Management System (TMS)
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects via digital systems
  • Comply with ADR regulations when transporting dangerous goods
  • Adhere to company policies, HSEQ procedures, and safety standards
  • Ensure all paperwork, including proof of delivery, is completed and submitted accurately
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and logistics personnel
  • Shunting duties on Tug Masters as and when required

Requirements:

  • Valid LGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • ADR Licence (Carriage of Dangerous Goods)
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Strong awareness of vehicle safety and compliance
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Flexibility to work on short notice or variable shifts
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of local Aberdeen and Northeast Scotland area
  • Basic computer literacy (TMS or digital apps)
  • Time management and problem-solving abilities
