Regional Officer of ASCL Cymru Homebased (Wales) Salary starting from £61,968 Part-time (0.6FTE, equivalent to three days per week). Permanent. The Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) is the leading professional association and trade union for all school and college leaders. We are proud to support and represent more than 25,000 members throughout the UK in primary, secondary and post-16 education who lead their schools and colleges to help to shape the future of the national education system and provide high quality professional development opportunities. ASCL is seeking to appoint a Regional Officer to undertake casework supporting ASCL Cymru members. The post will cover Wales, supporting the recently appointed National Officer. The post requires up-to-date knowledge and experience of the issues facing the senior leadership teams of schools and colleges and the ability to deal with individuals at a senior level. The post will suit applicants with recent experience as leaders of educational institutions or administrators with good experience of school or college management and a strong interest in professional issues. Wales will be the main location of work. This is a part-time role paid on a five-point incremental range from £61,968 – £68,259 per annum, starting at £61,968 which is £37,181 per annum at 0.6FTE, pro rata. Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses are also covered. The post-holder will work from home with regular contact with and visits to ASCL HQ in Leicester plus regular training sessions. IT and telephone equipment will be provided.
