Purpose of the Role:
This role is responsible for all aspects of investment administration. This includes processing new business, ISA transfers, servicing requests, fee calculations and withdrawals.
This role is also responsible for ensuring a timely, pro-active and high-quality service is provided to clients at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure the full investment administration lifecycle is delivered in accordance with our terms & conditions, internal procedures and within the relevant regulatory framework.
- Accurately process new business, monitoring progress through to completion, monitoring receipt of funds and initial fees.
- Banking and allocation of client money, ensuring FCA regulatory requirements are met.
- Liaising with ceding ISA scheme providers to request ISA transfer monies, ensuring all relevant information is obtained.
- Accurately process investment/disinvestment instructions relating to new business, additional investments, reallocations and withdrawals.
- Undertake all aspects of general investment and ISA administration.
- Complete fee and other complex calculations.
- Provide a timely, pro-active and high quality service to clients at all times.
- Assist with investigation of complex cases.
- Assist with collating information for regulatory reporting.
- Handle both written and telephone enquiries from clients, advisers and 3rd party service providers.
- Identify and report risks and breaches.
- Report complaints.
- Liaise closely with other teams within Wealth at work and with 3rd party service providers.
- General administrative duties e.g. photocopying, scanning, filing.
- Any other operational duties as required.
- Being passionate and demonstrate behaviours in line with the Company’s ethos, vision and key principles.
Essential Criteria:
- As a self-starter who can demonstrate good use of initiative, you will be someone who is flexible and adaptable with excellent communication skills coupled with accuracy and a high attention to detail in all aspects of service delivery.
- Experience of relevant investment administration.
- Good understanding of investment processes and discretionary investment management, including a knowledge of ISAs.
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements relating to investments.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages – Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and deal with urgent issues that arise.
- Team orientated with a flexible approach to work.
- CISI Investment Operations Certificate or equivalent (desirable).
