We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Learning and Development to lead our organisation's training initiatives and talent development strategies in the UK, South Africa & Canada. This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning programmes that enhance employee skills, foster organisational growth, and support our long-term objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of modern learning technologies and HR systems. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic Learning and Development plan aligned with organisational goals.
- Design engaging e-learning modules using tools such as Adobe Captivate and SharePoint to facilitate accessible training programmes.
- Lead the creation of customised training content for various departments, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
- Oversee the utilisation of HRIS systems like Workday and HRIS platforms to track training progress, analyse data, and generate reports.
- Manage the organisation's Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure seamless delivery of courses and certifications.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to identify skill gaps and develop targeted development initiatives.
- Mentor managers and team leads in coaching techniques, fostering a culture of continuous learning through mentoring programmes.
- Coordinate with external vendors or trainers when specialised expertise is required for specific programmes.
- Monitor industry trends in Learning & Development technology, including Salesforce integrations for customer-facing training modules.
- Organise workshops, seminars, and presentation sessions to promote knowledge sharing across the organisation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Learning & Development leadership roles or similar positions within a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Captivate, SharePoint, Workday, HRIS systems, and Salesforce platforms.
- Excellent teaching abilities with a passion for developing others' skills through innovative methods.
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively engage diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to design compelling presentations using tools such as PowerPoint or similar software.
- Experience in mentoring or coaching teams to foster professional growth.
- Knowledge of organisational development principles within Human Resources frameworks.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- A recognised qualification in Human Resources, Education, or related fields is desirable but not essential.
