Are you an experienced Junior/Mid Level Infrastructure Engineer looking for your next challenge? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading software logistics company that is seeking a skilled professional to support and enhance its IT infrastructure.
You will have recently worked in small companies; if you have worked in large multi-nationals this role would probably not suit you. It is expected that this would be your second job after graduating or starting your career in IT.
The Role:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the company's IT systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across the business. You'll work on a mix of BAU and project-based tasks, from troubleshooting network issues to implementing new technologies that drive operational efficiency. This is a varied and hands-on role that will require cabling and wiring as well as hardware and software server setup. Additional training will be given by the Director when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based systems.
- Support operations by ensuring minimal downtime and high system reliability.
- Implement security best practices to protect company data and assets.
- Work on infrastructure upgrades and improvement projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams.
- Cabling and wiring.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
- Knowledge of Windows, networking (LAN/WAN, VPNs).
- Server installation and maintenance.
