Your Role
You’ll play a key part in keeping the grain operations running smoothly — maintaining, repairing, and improving equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.
What You’ll Do
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair production and utility equipment
- Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide technical expertise to enhance productivity
- Support new machinery installations
- Keep accurate maintenance records
- Champion safety and continuous improvement (BOPEX)
What You Bring
- Experience in industrial maintenance (e.g. grain handling, pneumatics, hydraulics)
- Qualifications to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering)
- IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations would be advantageous
- Familiarity with safety protocols (LOTO, ATEX/DSEAR, etc.)
- Comfortable with 12-hour continental shifts
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to commute or relocate to Bury St Edmunds
- Own basic hand tools (they provide the rest)
