Key Responsibilities

  • Own the general ledger, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and lead the year-end reporting process.
  • Lead the external audit and liaise with tax advisers.
  • Prepare Board packs and regulatory reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvements to financial controls, reporting and finance processes.
  • Manage and mentor a small team

About you

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (practice-trained preferred, although strong CIMA-qualified candidates will also be considered).
  • Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting experience.
  • Experience within a regulated environment.
  • Previous experience in an SME or mid-market business with broad finance exposure.
  • Proven experience leading, managing or mentoring a small team.
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive, inquisitive approach.
