Ascent Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a fantastic business in Manchester as they look to appoint a Credit Controller to join their friendly and supportive finance team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller looking to join a business with a fantastic culture and genuine progression opportunities.
The role will involve:
- Managing customer queries and working closely with internal teams to resolve issues
- Sending customer statements and responding to copy invoice requests
- Supporting with cash allocation and posting customer payments
- Requesting and managing remittance advices
- Carrying out credit checks on new and existing customers
- Maintaining accurate records of sales ledger queries
- Working closely with the sales and customer service teams
- Managing your own workload and ensuring deadlines are met
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within Credit Control or a similar Accounts Receivable role
- Excellent communication skills and a confident approach to chasing debt
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
- A methodical and organised approach to work
- The ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- A positive, personable approach and willingness to learn
