The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our secured recoveries team. We will be hosting an in-person recruitment event and assessment centre at our office in Manchester City Centre on Friday 16th May. You will get an inside look at the role, participate in activities that allow you to get a feel for what a typical day looks like as a Paralegal at Ascent, and get insights about our company from our team. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted with an invite.
Main duties of the role:
- Ensuring all relevant processes are followed with matters followed up in a timely manner in line with client service levels and court processes.
- Compile witness statements or completion of court documentation as required as part of the recovery process.
- Ensure all work undertaken is in line with internal and client service level agreements.
- Liaise with external third-party companies, agents or other representing parties as required.
- Treat all customers fairly, professionally and act within legislation, compliance and codes of practice.
- Accept and request guidance tuition and training on the methodology of work, utilisation of computer systems and other assistance at work.
- In addition to the above, the Paralegal may be required to carry out any other reasonable request as required by the Team Leader/Head of Department.
Our ideal candidates will have:
- Law degree or equivalent.
- Experience working as a paralegal.
- Experience working for financial services’ businesses in a legal environment is desired but not essential.
- Sound knowledge of law and legal system.
- Computer literate in all Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable handling large workload under time constraints.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Familiar with electronic document management and filing systems.
