We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. With at least 3-4 years experience of 3rd line infrastructure support you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, including design, configuration, user and group management, and security policies.
- Implement and manage Windows Server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Design and implement disaster recovery solutions for critical servers and services.
- Conduct regular backups and ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitor server performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Perform system upgrades and migrations according to established procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new server technologies and applications.
- Document server configurations and procedures for future reference.
- Adhere to IT security policies and best practices.
Technical Skills needed for the Infrastructure Support role include:
- Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems (2012 R2, 2016, 2019).
- Active Directory administration, including group policy management, user and group creation, and security configuration.
- Experience with DNS and file services configuration.
- Working knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions (Veeam).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Core Knowledge Requirements needed for the Infrastructure support role:
- 5+ years of experience in a large 24/7 enterprise and ITIL environment.
- Experience with Windows Server (2012, 2016 or 2019).
- Ability to create/manage Domain Services and configuration including disaster recovery scenarios, managing security groups, delegation, OU structure, object types, and attributes.
- Experience with Active Directory, VMWare and Veeam technologies.
- Knowledge of the 3 large hyperscalers.
- Human competencies: teamwork and multicultural awareness.
- Leadership skills: initiative, effective communication, ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Microsoft certification (MCSA/MCSE Windows Server), Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, and/or Microsoft Certified Expert.
