Description
This Derby based specialist Software House are looking for a User Experience Designer / UX Designer with strong UI Design experience. You will be joining a small but growing design team and working on both web and mobile projects within an agile development department.
Key responsibilities
- Creating attractive user interfaces and visuals for our client’s product range
- Applying best practice principles of user interface and interaction design
- Conducting user experience research and usability testing
- Profiling, personas, requirements gathering, user journeys and flows, site maps, wireframes and mock‑ups
- Working with development teams to maintain UI governance
- Preparing and conducting workshops and presenting results to stakeholders
Qualifications
A competency level of 2 years commercial experience is required, complemented by a relevant degree (or equivalent). An impressive portfolio showcasing your ability to design and present solutions from early sketches through to hi‑def mock‑ups is essential. Understanding of graphics programs such as Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or others, and prototyping tools such as Axure is needed. Further skills in front‑end development (HTML & CSS) are highly desirable.
Benefits
Salary up to £45,000 plus benefits and two days remote per week.
