International Software House is looking for a User Interface Designer / UI Designer to work on web and mobile applications. Do you have a portfolio showcasing high quality designs? Can you provide a detailed case study? Our East Midlands based client has multiple locations around the world. With around 300+ employees they invest heavily every year in Research & Development ensuring their products remain at the forefront of technology and also have a ring fenced training budget offering all staff continual personal development opportunities. Occupying modern office facilities with free parking commutable from Nottingham, Leicester and Derby.

Benefit package includes up to 29 days holiday + B/H.

Role/Environment

You will be joining a small but growing design team. Working within an agile development team you will be working on both WEB and Mobile projects. Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Creating attractive user interfaces and visuals for our client’s product range
  • Applying best practice principles of user interface and interaction design
  • User Experience research and Test Usability
  • Profiling, personas, requirements gathering, user journeys and flows, site maps, wireframes and mock‑ups
  • Working with development teams to maintain UI governance
  • Preparing and conducting workshops and presenting the results to stakeholders

Qualifications

A competency level of 2 years commercial experience is required complemented by a relevant degree (or equivalent). We will be looking for an impressive portfolio showcasing your ability to design and present solutions from early sketches through to Hi‑Def mock‑ups and an understanding of graphics programs such as Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator or others and prototyping tools such as Axure or others.
