Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Business Analysis Practices: Solid knowledge of business analysis frameworks, techniques, and best practice across both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches.
  • Software Delivery Lifecycle: Good understanding of the end-to-end development lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to solution design, testing, user acceptance, implementation, and post-deployment support.
  • Business Process & Data Analysis: Experience of analysing business processes, mapping workflows, identifying gaps, understanding data movement, and recognising system integration requirements.
  • Working with Technical Teams: Comfortable collaborating with solution architects, software developers, data specialists, infrastructure teams, and cyber security professionals to deliver successful business solutions.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Confident in challenging ideas and assumptions constructively while building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure business needs are fully understood.
  • Facilitation & Communication: Experienced in leading workshops, interviews, and requirement review sessions, encouraging collaboration and achieving clear outcomes.
  • Ownership & Initiative: Self-motivated with a proactive, delivery-focused mindset, capable of managing priorities independently and driving work through to completion with minimal supervision.

Relevant Experience

  • Significant experience working as a Business Analyst within IT, digital transformation, systems implementation, or wider business change programmes.
  • Proven success in facilitating discovery workshops with senior business stakeholders to identify challenges, define objectives, and establish measurable outcomes.
  • Experience delivering projects from initial discovery through to implementation, including producing high-quality documentation such as user stories, business process maps, requirements specifications, and gap analyses, as well as supporting and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting the development of colleagues and less experienced Business Analysts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in related industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
