SQL Server DBA and Database Administrator for global software house. Senior level role with responsibilities in performance tuning, backup and recovery, SSRS/SSIS/SSAS, PowerShell, and MongoDB. Working in a business‑critical environment, the role requires a strong technical background and the ability to collaborate with the wider business.

Responsibilities

  • Database and query performance tuning and optimisation
  • Writing and maintaining Transact‑SQL stored procedures
  • Day‑to‑day support and administration of SQL and data‑warehousing environments
  • Data cleansing, correction, performance tuning and capacity planning
  • Archiving, backup and restore best practices, including security
  • Assisting the wider IT/IS division with complex database queries
  • Contributing to product improvements, ease of use, reliability and reducing support levels
  • Participating in an on‑call rotation

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with SQL Server 2012‑2016, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, PowerShell
  • Strong knowledge of database and query performance tuning and optimisation
  • Background in backup and recovery, data cleansing and capacity planning
  • Excellent communication skills; able to engage with business stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and focus on delivery
  • Willingness to work as part of an on‑call team
  • Preferred: experience with MongoDB or willingness to undergo training
