This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Tester to join this specialist software house as they embark on developing ground‑breaking applications. The successful candidate will work as a sole software tester utilising their manual testing strengths in this specialist product team. As a singular tester, you will need to be able to hit the ground running as well as take ownership of regression and exploratory testing working closely with the developers and the team. At senior level, you will be a key figure in contributing to the Test Strategy as the testing function grows.
Responsibilities
- Create and run test cases
- Defect management
- Test reporting
- Risk analysis
- SQL database interrogation
- Web, mobile and cross‑browser testing
- WEP API testing
- Execute relevant qualifications (ISTQB, ISEB, BCS, etc.)
You’ll enjoy working in a true Agile environment utilising TDD and BDD techniques. Working closely with the software developers and the team, you will ensure the highest standard of software quality as part of a collaborative process. You should have great communication skills and not be afraid to speak up. This client embraces the importance of software testing as well as offering opportunities to grow your skills.
An attractive salary is on offer up to £40K, ongoing reviews to ensure progression as well as holidays, pension plan etc. The office is based in Leicester, easily commutable from surrounding areas, Nottingham, and Derby.
