Description: Are you a QA Engineer with solid manual testing experience of software and applications who is looking for an opportunity to gain further experience and progress your career forward? The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising the quality of this client’s software releases as they develop new and exciting features of their industry leading software and application. This client prides themselves on offering long-term careers where you can become much more than a QA Engineer or Manual Tester but have the chance to become a Senior Tester, Team Leader, Product Specialist or even a BI BA dependant on where your interest lies.
Responsibilities:
- Creating test cases and perform regression testing
- Aims for a logical approach when problem solving
- Software Development Life-cycle (SDLC) awareness and knowledge
This role would suit a manual software tester eager to learn and progress as well as being a vocal and active member of the team. You must be keen to utilise exploratory testing techniques.
Experience required:
- Minimum 3+ years commercial QA testing experience
- Previous software, web and application testing
- Familiarity of various testing methodologies
- Manual testing
- Excellent communication skills and enjoys being a vocal member of any team who speaks up
Desirables include:
- Programming and scripting knowledge
- ISTQB or ISEB qualified
- Database familiarity, preferably SQL
- Practical knowledge of web-based technologies
