Exclusive to Ascent People: A well-respected multi-faced British success story is looking for a Software Architect to join their expanding team. They have been established for over 25 years and can boast the top 10% of UK brands as their customers. They are looking for a Software Architect to take responsibility for technology as they take one of their products to a new level, eventually offering a SAAS/Cloud Solution.

Technical environment: ASP.Net MVC, C#, nHibernate, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL Server.

Role: This Software Architect role will be split 60/40 in favour of architecture design over hands-on coding. You will work closely with the Project Managers and take Functional Specs from BAs, interpreting them into Technical Specs for the developers. Documentation will also be your responsibility. An impressive history in C#/Dotnet development before moving into Architecture and Design is required. This role will find you working on large web enterprise solutions with a team of developers and testers in the UK and another based on the continent. Working alongside the Development Manager and Head of IT you will be instrumental in introducing a more iterative (Agile/Scrum) and innovative way of development, enabling the company to take their product offering to new heights.

Considered a plus: Experience of developing Cloud and/or SAAS solutions – not a necessity.

Salary / Package: £45,000 – £50,000 and generous package including pension, healthcare, 25 days holiday. They are located in the East Midlands area, easily commutable from Leicester, Nuneaton and Coventry.
