Role Overview

Global Software House is looking for a Technical Architect who is up to date on Azure/cloud environments to join an existing team of architects working in an Agile environment. We are looking for someone who is not only highly skilled on Azure tech, can influence how software is developed and delivered, and is commercially aware.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to produce a technical road map.
  • Work with teams to define features and backlog items to support DevOps and continuous delivery.
  • Oversee development and implementation activities within the Platform & Tools teams, ensuring all work is done to quality and standards.
  • Mentor and develop technical skills within the engineering teams.
  • Produce technical design documents.
  • Share vision and technical design documents with stakeholders.

Toolkit / Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of Azure services such as Web Apps, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Azure Resource Manager, Cloud Services, Azure Active Directory, SQL Database, VNETs, Traffic Manager, Application Insights, and VMs.
  • Knowledge of on-premise, cloud and network security.
  • Good understanding of DevOps and continuous delivery.
  • Ability to meet recovery point objectives, recovery time objectives and service level agreements.
