An exceptional opportunity to make a massive impact is available for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join a high-performance engineering organisation based in Banbury, Oxfordshire. This is a genuinely autonomous role where you'll be the sole cyber security specialist within a collaborative engineering team. You'll have the freedom to shape the cyber security function whilst working on a 50/50 split of project work and operational support.

The role:
As the Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cyber security measures across the organisation's infrastructure. This includes project work on new security initiatives alongside day-to-day support and incident response. You'll be expected to work collaboratively with other engineers in the team, providing support when required, whilst also taking the lead on all cyber security matters. Regular engagement with senior stakeholders and attendance at strategic meetings will be a key part of the position, so strong communication skills are essential.
What we're looking for:
- Proven practical experience in cyber security engineering
- Strong technical knowledge across security technologies and best practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
- Team player mindset with the ability to support colleagues when needed
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Qualifications such as CCNA/CISSP/CCSP/CISM are ideal but not essential - we value real-world experience above all
The package:
- Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience plus bonus
- 4 days per week office-based in Banbury (flexibility on the 5th day)
