IT Support Engineer – Hyper‑V/O365 – On Call 35‑40K

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer who can work on‑call (1 in 3 weeks) to support our global software house's internal systems and hosted environments for our external client base. The role requires strong technical skills across multiple technology environments, excellent communication, and a customer‑focused mindset.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Windows Server 2008–2016, Hyper‑V, Office 365, and RDBMS SQL/Oracle.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to end‑users, both remotely and deskside.
- Manage asset inventory and documentation for hardware and software.
- Build and deploy server architecture in the data centre, documenting procedures according to company standards.
- Support defined maintenance weekends as required.
- Analyze current resourcing usage and recommend future requirements to maintain optimal service levels.
- Monitor performance against contractual service targets and take corrective action.
- Build strong partnerships with customers and contribute to monthly/quarterly KPI reports for the Company Board.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Windows Server 2008–2016 and Hyper‑V virtualisation.
- Hands‑on experience with Office 365.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, SQL Server, and/or Oracle databases.
- Ability to engage with users remotely and in‑person.
- Strong communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
- Experience in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
