Role Overview

This Global client who is the market leader in their field and going through a period of change is looking for an Infrastructure Manager / IT Operations Manager who can steady a ship and get the team moving in the right direction.

You will be shaping the company’s infrastructure, growing the team, to provide excellent support throughout the business within the EMEA region.

Technical environment: Linux /Windows, VMWare, Virtualisation, Cloud/Azure, Data Centre, ITIL

Responsibilities:

  • Line management of the infrastructure team
  • Budget responsibility
  • Strategy & Roadmap planning
  • Escalation point for your team
  • Manage the build and deployment of all aspects of the infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain accurate capacity plans for the core IT infrastructure
  • Liaise with other members of the IT Department and ensure a constant flow of information is maintained
  • Proactively look to improve and add efficiency to current process & procedures
  • Stakeholder management
  • Ensuring all solutions are documented and successfully transitioned into service.

This Infrastructure Manager must hit the ground running. You will come with around 5 years experience (or equivalent) in a leadership/management capacity and be ready to grab this role by the horns from day one. You will transform this infrastructure team by reporting directly to the IT Director and working in partnership with the other Senior IT Managers.

This client can be found within easy reach of Derby, and commutable from Nottingham, Leicester, and Sheffield.
