Role Summary
This leading Leicester-based technology company seeks an experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead its growing infrastructure team, manage budgets, and ensure reliable IT infrastructure as the company expands.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of support specialists and engineers.
- Oversee and maintain virtual and physical servers, database systems and overall infrastructure.
- Manage the IT infrastructure budget, making key decisions in collaboration with the Head of IT.
- Coordinate with 3rd‑party suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure infrastructure availability, performance and security.
Required Technical Skills and Experience
- Commercial experience as Infrastructure Manager or IT Manager.
- Proficiency in Windows environments.
- Experience with VMWare and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of virtual and physical server management.
- Expertise in SQL Server and database administration.
- Strong team‑management skills (well‑being, hiring, training).
Desirable
- Experience with IAAS, PAAS or SAAS.
- Windows migration projects.
