The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Infrastructure Automation / Software Release Engineer to join an IT & software development team at a stable company working with many leading UK blue‑chip clients. The role involves designing, optimizing, maintaining and improving software build and deployment pipelines while supporting the infrastructure BAU team. It will grow into responsibility for developing and maintaining operational standards for software release and deployment. If you do not already have a DevOps background but can learn on the job with support from the Development Manager, we want to hear from you – a fantastic cross‑training opportunity.
IT Toolkit
- A solid IT infrastructure background with prior and current experience in core infrastructure technologies, including VMWare, Active Directory, Windows, Linux
- In‑depth knowledge and experience of software release – manual or automated tasks with PowerShell or similar
- Software build and deployment experience (e.g. MSBuild, Bamboo, Jenkins, Selenium, SonarQube, PowerShell)
- T‑SQL experience
- A developmental attitude toward infrastructure
