Overview

Exciting opportunity for an experienced data engineer with big data experience to join a Nottingham based software house and the top of their game. This industry leading company are going from strength to strength and are looking for a big data engineer to join the growing development team to be a key player steering the development of their new big data solution. This client is an extremely successful global business, based in Nottingham in the East Midlands who offer highly technical software to their growing client base.

Please note: this is a business-critical role and we are looking to move at speed.

Responsibilities

  • You will have extensive experience working with big data technologies – Hadoop, Spark, Cloudera.
  • Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience of the big data life cycle.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Proven experience and commercial knowledge of Scala programming language.

Qualifications
