Role:
A highly successful homegrown company is looking for their first Cloud Platform Engineer / AWS DevOps Engineer as they go through a large technology transformation. Such an exciting time to join this company as they invest massively in the technical landscape. As the Cloud Platform Engineer / AWS Engineer you will get the opportunity to build the foundation, structure, set-up and governance to take the platform and environment further.
Previous experience working in DevOps or AWS infrastructure Development is ideal. Reporting into the Head of IT Operations your role will have you designing and deploying cloud platform capabilities using AWS best practices as well as designing and supporting CI/CD tools to streamline deployments and infrastructure updates. You will lead technical operations projects from requirements, to design, to implementation, to operations and enhance system performance and features on a regular basis for enhanced customer experience.
There is a plan to expand this team and in turn, will give you the opportunity to become the Lead if this falls into your own career objectives. To be considered for this role you must have several yearsβ experience in a system administration/systems engineer role with experience in a Cloud / Site Reliability / Infrastructure / DevOps.
Having strong Cloud experience in AWS (ideally), Azure and GCP will be considered as long as you can show experience in working with Infrastructure as Code β IaC, using either Python, Terraform, or similar. Alongside your technical ability we need someone who is comfortable engaging with the wider business; this role will not allow you to hide behind your computer screen or tuck yourself away in an IT office, you will be a major point of contact within the company and enjoy being a part of the bigger picture.
The back pocket β Flexible on salary, up to 75K but open to discussion. Extensive benefits package including Pension, Discounts, Car benefits, Extra time off, Healthcare, and more. Hybrid working, ideally in the office once a week if you can make it. Open to discussion. The office is based in the East Midlands with free parking.
