Description
IT Consultant, Client facing IT Support Engineer, 3rd Line Engineer for an MSP, with expertise in Office 365, VM Ware/Hyper V, Windows Server 2008‑2019, SQL, Cisco, Active Directory, Power BI, and Scripting – salary 45K.
Key Requirements:
- Client‑facing IT Support Engineer experience
- Experience working with Windows Server 2008‑2019
- Comfortable using Office 365
- Knowledge of Hyper V, O365, Windows Server, and Firewalls/Security
- Familiarity with VMWare, Cisco networking, scripting such as PowerShell, and optionally Power BI / reporting
- Excellent communication skills for on/off site work
Role Overview:
We need a versatile engineer to handle BAU and project environments, delivering excellent customer service and contributing to the growth of a small yet successful MSP.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise in Windows Server 2008‑2019, Hyper V, Office 365, networking, and firewalls
- Deliver excellent customer service and experience
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage assets of hardware and software
- Design, build and deploy server architecture with supporting documentation in line with company standards
- Analyze current resource usage and future requirements to maintain proper system levels for IT service targets
- Monitor performance against contractual service targets and take appropriate action
- Develop strong partnership relationships with customers
- Act as a point of escalation for support calls
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Strong technical aptitude with experience across multiple technology environments
- Team player with motivation and personality to thrive in a client‑facing role
- Understanding of business objectives and willingness to influence and make change
