2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer – Office365, Hyper-V

We are seeking a 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer with experience in Windows Server 2008-2016, Office 365, Hyper‑V, Active Directory and SQL Server. The role involves supporting internal and hosted environments for a global software house, engaging with users remotely and deskside, and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise on Windows Server 2008-2016, Hyper‑V, Office 365, and SQL/Oracle RDBMS.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and experience.
  • Manage hardware and software assets.
  • Build and deploy server architecture into the data centre with supporting documentation in line with company standards.
  • Support during defined maintenance weekends as required.
  • Analyze current resourcing usage and future requirements to ensure resources and systems meet IT service targets.
  • Monitor performance against contractual service targets and take appropriate action to achieve IT service objectives.
  • Build strong partnership relationships with customers.
  • Contribute to monthly/quarterly KPI reports for the company board.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical aptitude in Windows Server administration (2008‑2016).
  • Experience with Hyper‑V virtualisation environments.
  • Familiarity with Office 365.
  • Experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases.
