We are seeking a 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer with experience in Windows Server 2008-2016, Office 365, Hyper‑V, Active Directory and SQL Server. The role involves supporting internal and hosted environments for a global software house, engaging with users remotely and deskside, and delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise on Windows Server 2008-2016, Hyper‑V, Office 365, and SQL/Oracle RDBMS.
- Deliver excellent customer service and experience.
- Manage hardware and software assets.
- Build and deploy server architecture into the data centre with supporting documentation in line with company standards.
- Support during defined maintenance weekends as required.
- Analyze current resourcing usage and future requirements to ensure resources and systems meet IT service targets.
- Monitor performance against contractual service targets and take appropriate action to achieve IT service objectives.
- Build strong partnership relationships with customers.
- Contribute to monthly/quarterly KPI reports for the company board.
Qualifications
- Strong technical aptitude in Windows Server administration (2008‑2016).
- Experience with Hyper‑V virtualisation environments.
- Familiarity with Office 365.
- Experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases.
