A day in the life of the Ascent Hangar Operations Manager:
- Building Custodian
- Prepare and deliver induction brief to all exercising troops and visitors
- Maintain Down Bird Kit/Victuals
- Monitor, maintain and request resupply of stationary (for TACEX) including printer requirements/MPS & Laptops collected/securely stored
- Support exercise Director
- Set up and trial run IT
- Arrange/support annual MOD HSSE inspection
- Manage H1 bookings/Manage Access control requests
- Building checks, complete and file paperwork with AACen (Via MODNET)
- Out of Hours contact for access to the hanger (Alarms, access, emergencies etc)
- Represent ascent at suite of onsite and liaison meetings across stakeholder groups
- Provide first aid cover, maintaining First Aid Kits, Eye Wash, Defibrillator
- Risk assessment/HSSE/Flight Safety Boards are current
- Daily fire checks/fire diary/conduct fire drill/monthly extinguisher checks
- TACEX Specific Feeding
- Book packed lunch meals (MOD paperwork for Mil staff only)
- Collect, distribute and monitor quality of packed lunch
- Accommodation booking MW
- Collect/return Accn keys
- Inspect Accommodation before and after occupation
- Conduct sheet and bedding exchanges
- Training Area and facilities Booking
- Input BAMS Bookings
- Input Form 1930 SAAFAttend SPTA Range Deconfliction Mtg
- Input Training Safety Assurance Certificate
- Book on to Trg Area
- Book off Trg area
- Complete SPTA Usage form
- Airfield Booking
- Refuel booking
What Will Make You Successful:
- You will already have a full understanding of and broad experience in the management of flying operations and/or flying training delivery within either a military or private/commercial sector.
- You will be a proven line manager and will thrive under pressure, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels, coupled with an ability to understand our business as a Training Service Partner from a commercial standpoint.
- You will also certainly have strong communication skills and a 'one team' ethos.
- You will love working in an environment where you are challenged daily and are comfortable driving high performance and output whilst understanding intuitively the importance of safety in all you do.
- You will understand the importance of being able to work accurately and efficiently in situations that can often be pressured in both time and resource.
