As our Finance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in a dynamic finance team, working across our UK headquarters and operational sites. You’ll lead core finance operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and build strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, suppliers, banks, auditors, and government bodies.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Ensure compliance with all UK tax regimes and government regulatory/statistical returns
- Manage banking and lender relationships, including timely and accurate reporting
- Lead the preparation of consolidated budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts and reporting to senior leadership and shareholders
- Oversee MOD sales invoicing and procurement/purchasing functions
- Review monthly payroll and ensure all expenditure is appropriately authorised
- Manage relationships with external auditors and professional advisors, ensuring timely completion of statutory audits
- Maintain and improve finance policies, controls, and processes in line with ISO 9001 and QMS standards
- Promote a strong safety culture and align financial decisions with operational safety and assurance
What You’ll Bring
- A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 2 years post-qualification experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/FRS102 and IFRS)
- In-depth understanding of UK tax and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams
- Excellent communication skills, especially with non-finance colleagues
- A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with strong project management skills
