Ascent Energy Services provide a range of renewable energy services to domestic and commercial clients throughout the UK. Due to rapid growth in the EV sector and multiple contract wins, we are looking to expand our team. We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, and qualified electricians to become part of the team. The right candidate must have:

  • Electrical installation qualification (level 3 NVQ)
  • Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification

Experience installing and maintaining EV chargers in a domestic environment is essential. If required, you will be trained to install, service, and maintain a range of AC & High-powered DC charge points for our commercial and domestic clients. In this role, you will be fully trained to install, test & inspect a range of EV charge points to the highest standards. It is a Monday to Friday position with overtime and price works offered.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or JIB registered gold card
  • 2391 Test and Inspection or equivalent (desirable)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
  • C&G 2919 EVSE Installation Course or equivalent
  • 5 years of electrical experience minimum
  • 1-year commercial EV Charger experience minimum
  • Full Clean Driving Licence
  • A fantastic attitude to work

Role and Responsibilities Include:

  • Good knowledge of domestic, commercial & industrial electrical/EV installations
  • Capable of carrying out inspection and testing
  • Installation of EV charging points in commercial and domestic properties
  • Service and maintenance of EV charge points
  • Fault diagnosis and repair on EV Charge points (Training will be given if needed)
  • Installation of general power & lighting systems
  • Installation of containment system – tray, trunking & ladder rack
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team
  • Carry out domestic & commercial electrical surveys

  • Proven or extensive experience in all aspects of installation works

  • Able to organise own work
  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Must be willing to travel and stay away occasionally
  • A moderate degree of computer literacy
  • Full UK driver's license
