At Ascent, we partner with some of the fastest-growing technology companies in the world - businesses whose innovative technologies have the potential to drive meaningful change and tackle some of society's most significant challenges. We are currently seeking a Director of CQV Services, Europe, for our business partners at Eupry. Founded in Denmark in 2014, Eupry is redefining how leading life science companies validate, monitor, and document temperature and humidity. Through their Compliance as a Service model, Eupry replaces outdated legacy systems with a fully digital, IoT-driven approach, and is the first in the world to offer continuous temperature mapping across warehouses, transport, and production environments.
With strong customer traction and accelerating growth across European markets, this is a rare opportunity to help us build and lead Eupry's CQV function across EMEA, defining how the team is structured, how talent is developed, and what excellent CQV delivery looks like at scale.
Why Join Us?
- Lead the Growth: With a team of highly qualified CQV engineers already in place, you will lead and scale the function across EMEA, recruiting new talent, developing existing engineers, and ensuring the team grows with the business.
- Make an Impact: You set the standard for how Eupry's clients across EMEA experience validation delivery, combining technical rigor with genuine consultative partnership, so clients feel understood, well-advised, and confident in the process.
- Strategic Influence: You work closely with Eupry's global leadership to shape how the validation practice scales internationally, with direct influence on methodology and client engagement.
The Role:
- Build, lead, and develop the EMEA CQV engineering team, from recruiting and onboarding to ongoing coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Set the standard for validation delivery across the region, ensuring consistent quality, methodology, and documentation across engagements.
- Oversee and quality-assure CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation) projects for pharmaceutical and life science clients, from temperature mapping of warehouses and transport to qualification of temperature-controlled units.
- Act as a senior technical and consultative counterpart for key clients, translating complex validation findings into clear recommendations and building long-term partnerships.
- Ensure all deliverables meet GxP regulatory standards across relevant European markets and client requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Eupry's commercial, product, and US validation teams to share best practices, align methodology, and support global account delivery.
What we seek in you:
- Validation Leadership: We seek a profile that is motivated by, and excels at, building and leading a validation engineering function. You have deep CQV expertise and understand how temperature mapping, qualification protocols, and validation documentation should be executed at the highest level. But what sets you apart is your ability to translate that expertise into a team capability, setting standards, coaching engineers at different levels, and ensuring consistent quality across a growing portfolio of engagements.
- Regulatory Fluency: We seek a profile that can navigate GxP regulations across European markets, not just as a compliance requirement, but as a framework that shapes how projects are scoped, documented, and delivered. You speak confidently about regulatory expectations with quality leads and auditors alike, and you ensure that your team's deliverables hold up to scrutiny.
- Team Building and Coaching: We seek a profile that can recruit, develop, and retain strong validation engineers. You know what good looks like at both junior and senior levels, you can identify potential in candidates, and you invest in developing your people through hands-on coaching, clear expectations, and a culture of professional growth. The quality of the function you build will never exceed the quality of the team behind it.
- Consultative Advisory: We seek a profile that can operate as a trusted senior advisor to key clients across EMEA. You understand that strong advisory work is commercially valuable in itself: it deepens trust, surfaces new needs, and turns single engagements into long-term partnerships. You are equally credible in a technical review with a quality lead and in a strategic conversation with a client's senior leadership.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: We are entrepreneurs by heart, and the profile we seek thrives in a scaleup environment, motivated by the chance to shape both product, delivery, and culture from the ground up.
Practicalities:
- Flexible location: London, Copenhagen, or another strategically positioned European hub (Switzerland, Germany, or similar).
- Competitive total compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
- Travel across EMEA as needed for client engagements, team leadership, and coordination with Eupry's global organisation.
