What You Will Do
- Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.
- Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
- Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity.
- Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as needed.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
What You Will Need
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire or transfer.
- One or more of the following required:
- Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire or transfer.
- NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT) certification required in addition to CNMT certification.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from ARRT obtained prior to hire or transfer.
- Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialties also accepted.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from ARRT obtained prior to hire or transfer.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable experience.
