Ascension Community Trust (ACT) is a much-loved community-based charity in Custom House, Newham. We deliver a range of projects including Newham District Foodbank (a Trussell Trust foodbank), welfare benefits advice, ESOL classes, work with adults with learning difficulties, as well as work with children, young people and their families. This is an exciting time for the programme with a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school being built next door to our centre, and with established relationships with several care homes – we expect that this programme will go from strength to strength.

- Weekly Community Meal
We are seeking a competent manager for a one year fixed contract to cover maternity leave. You will have the leadership skills to support a small team of sessional staff. You will be at ease in relating to adults as well as their parents and carers. You will be passionate about the well-being and integration of people with learning difficulties with an understanding of their needs. Christian belief is not a requirement of the role; however, it is essential that the successful candidate will be comfortable working in sympathy with our values.
