About the opportunity: As our new Business Development Manager, you’ll drive sales growth and expand market share across Cheshire & Merseyside. You must have strong partnerships with key healthcare stakeholders in primary care, identify and secure access opportunities, and execute commercial strategies that increase product adoption. You will act as a trusted partner to customers, leveraging your market expertise to deliver business objectives while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Location: Remote, Cheshire & Merseyside
What you will be doing:
- Deliver annual sales targets for the territory, including volume and market share, by promoting the Contour blood glucose meter portfolio across primary care.
- Build and lead partnerships with key NHS stakeholders such as ICBs, PCNs and GP surgeries, developing strong relationships with decision makers, influencers and KOLs.
- Maximise formulary access opportunities to secure recommendations for Ascensia products, creating and executing effective account coverage plans.
- Execute marketing strategies in the field using approved materials, claims and messaging to drive product recommendation and usage.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the Ascensia portfolio, disease area and healthcare landscape while acting professionally, meeting customer expectations and ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and codes of conduct.
What you need for success:
- Experience selling into the diabetes, cardiovascular, CKD, or renal healthcare markets.
- Knowledge of stakeholder mapping, procurement processes, and regulatory considerations.
- Established primary care network and market knowledge across Cheshire & Merseyside.
- Proven ability to manage and grow customer accounts, specifically: building and maintaining stakeholder relationships; delivering against sales or account growth targets; identifying and converting new opportunities within existing accounts.
- Access to own car, Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the territory.
