We are seeking an experienced Platform Architect to lead the architecture and design of a mobile application modernization project for a leading financial institution. The role requires deep expertise in modernizing legacy systems, designing scalable platforms, and integrating cutting-edge technologies to deliver secure, high-performance mobile banking solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Kong API, AWS, Identity and Access Management (IDAM), and a strong background in the banking domain.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in platform architecture, with at least 3 years focused on mobile application modernization.
- Proven track record in the banking or financial services domain, with knowledge of core banking systems, payment gateways, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway for API management, routing, and security.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and serverless architectures. AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Strong expertise in IDAM solutions (e.g., Okta, Ping Identity, or AWS Cognito), with experience implementing secure authentication and authorization flows.
- Proficiency in designing microservices-based architectures and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and tools like Jenkins, Git, or Terraform.
- Deep understanding of banking processes, such as KYC, AML, transaction processing, and mobile payment systems.
- Experience with regulatory standards and security frameworks relevant to financial services.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities to bridge technical and business teams.
- Ability to lead and mentor technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
