We are looking for a Sr. Python developer for our Banking partner in Bromley, UK. This is a full-time role with Ascendion (AI-first, 30% YoY growth, FS focused) and requires 3 days onsite in Bromley.
This role is suited to a Senior Software Engineer with experience building enterprise-wide applications in a front-office financial services domain.
- Design and implement backend Python software solutions within the SP pre-trade domain.
- Collaborate on React UI app, ensuring clean API contracts and integration with backend services.
- Define, evolve, and maintain structured products data models defined as JSON schemas.
- Contribute to system design and architecture decisions for a globally distributed FO platform.
Knowledge of Structured Products (Notes, Warrants, Certificates) is required.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with financial services, particularly structured notes and equity derivatives.
- Knowledge of front-office sales and trading workflows.
- Familiarity with messaging or event-driven systems.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical initiatives.
- Linux command line experience.
