Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced API Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API management and experience with Kong or Apigee API Gateway. In this role, you will manage and optimize API gateways, ensuring smooth integration and performance of various internal and external APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage API Gateway solutions using Kong or Apigee.
• Monitor and optimize API traffic, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of API services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues in production environments.
• Ensure proper security measures are implemented for APIs, including rate limiting, access control, and authentication.
• Document API configurations, policies, and processes for future reference.
• Provide guidance and best practices on API architecture and design to internal teams.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Kong or Apigee API Gateway.
• Strong understanding of API protocols (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
• Experience with OAuth, JWT, and other authentication mechanisms.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
